Resorts bring the ceremony, the reception and the guest rooms together on one property, often beside the sea or set in landscaped grounds, with pools, spas and activities for the days around the wedding.
Booking a resort wedding
Confirm the number of rooms on site and whether the whole resort can be taken for your wedding, the capacity of each ceremony and dinner space, the wet-weather plan, and the noise and music limits. Ask how guests arrive, whether transfers are provided, what is included in the room rate and what the catering minimum is.

Choosing a wedding venue
Resort or hotel?
The type of venue shapes the whole wedding: who else is there, where guests sleep, and how the day moves from ceremony to dinner. Venues include 67 resorts (exclusive use at 22, rooms for guests at 47); 3 hotels (exclusive use at 1, rooms for guests at 2). With exclusive use the property is yours; elsewhere, ask which rooms and gardens are private on the day.
