A 15th-century castle on a private 567-acre estate in Castleknock, Dublin
Exclusive-hire castle in Dublin 15, with two function rooms for up to 180 guests and 25 bedrooms across the castle and the Gardener's Cottage.
Luttrellstown Castle stands in the Castleknock suburb of Dublin 15, on a walled private estate of 567 acres. Parts of the estate date to 1429, and the castle has passed through seven owners in more than six centuries. It is hired exclusively, so only one celebration takes place at a time, and the Castle, the Gardener's Cottage and the Salon form the wedding venue.
The Van Stry Room and the Kentian Room are the castle's two function spaces, and together they seat up to 180 guests. Ceremonies and receptions can also be set outdoors on the lawn in front of the castle. Twenty individually designed bedrooms in the castle, with four-poster beds and freestanding bathtubs, are joined by five double rooms in the Gardener's Cottage in the Walled Garden. The grounds hold a lake fed by the River Liffey, woodland paths and an 18-hole golf course, and falconry, fishing and archery can be arranged on the estate. Dublin Airport is about 20 minutes away and the city centre about 30.
