Some wedding venues ask you to fit into them. Villa Susanna does the opposite: it hands you a whole headland and lets the day take its own shape. A private villa estate on three acres at the mouth of Marigot Bay in St Lucia, above the secluded Trou Rolland Beach, it is taken exclusively for a single wedding, and its Italian-Caribbean architecture, open pavilions and infinity pool make barefoot luxury feel entirely natural.

Villa Susanna’s defining strength is a genuinely private headland: the whole three-acre estate, pool, gardens and beach cove are taken exclusively for one wedding, with a barefoot-luxury character built into the open-sided architecture rather than styled onto it. Couples should know pricing is quoted per night (from US$1,950, minimum five nights), plus a US$50 per non-resident guest event fee, not a flat wedding-day rate. The seven suites sleep only 14, a fraction of the 50-guest maximum, so most guests stay nearby at Capella Marigot Bay. The villa-appointed planner, Awesome Caribbean Weddings, coordinates the day.

Ceremony & Reception Spaces
Twenty metres of infinity edge dissolve straight into the Caribbean Sea, and a bridge crosses the water to a timber gazebo that stands out over the pool and faces the sunset. This is the villa’s ‘I Do’ spot, and it is hard to imagine a better one: vows barefoot on the deck, the sky turning gold behind the gazebo, the sea beyond and the gardens all around, an aisle over the water rather than down a nave.

A main house and three cottages sit in tropical gardens around the pool, their living spaces open-sided and dressed with shell decor so the sea is always in the room. Lounge and dining pavilions catch the trade winds; hammocks and hanging chairs sit under cover with the water glittering below. Nothing here is grand for its own sake; it is designed to be lived in, barefoot, with a drink in hand and the bay in view.

Accommodation
Because it is exclusive use, the whole estate is yours. Seven bedroom suites sleep fourteen, so the closest family and friends stay on the headland itself, and up to around fifty guests celebrate together, with any overflow at Capella Marigot Bay just around the bay. The villa’s appointed planner, Awesome Caribbean Weddings, handles the detail, so the couple can simply arrive into their own private world above the sea.

Food & Wedding Dining
Dining is by private chef and villa-arranged catering, Caribbean menus that lean on island produce, seafood and the grill, served in the open pavilions and on the terraces above the water. Champagne, St Lucian rum and cocktails move along the pool deck as the sun drops, and the wedding breakfast is set beneath the gazebo or in the sea-view pavilion, generous, relaxed and unmistakably of the island.

A private walkway leads down the headland to a turquoise beach, a barefoot moment away from the villa for the couple and their guests, so the celebration spreads from the pool to the sand and back again over a weekend rather than an afternoon. It is intimate by design; the whole point is that there is nobody here but you.
A private villa on a St Lucian headland, sunset vows on a gazebo above the infinity pool, the Caribbean Sea beyond and a beach cove below: an intimate, barefoot-luxury wedding to remember.
