Meet the styling and décor
Preston Bailey
Preston Bailey opened his design studio in New York in 1980. More than four decades on, he is still working from Manhattan as an event designer, producer and director, and describes himself as a floral designer, event director and sculpture artist.
His signature is transformation. A ballroom, a marquee or a bare shell is rebuilt with ceilings of hanging flowers, sculpted floral trees, canopies and arches, and the lighting, textures, colour and entertainment are planned alongside them so the whole space reads as one setting.

The studio works as a team of designers, builders, directors and artists. Their events have taken them to New York, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Jakarta, London and Las Vegas, and Preston has also made art installations shown in cities including New York, Boston, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
His own account of the work is simple: for weddings, the reward is building ethereal worlds with the couple that reflect the essence of their love. He also teaches, through PB Live!, a three day conference for event professionals, an online masterclass and a podcast, and in 2026 he was announced as a headline speaker at Wedded World, a luxury wedding showcase in Sydney.
