La Mamounia is a palace hotel on the edge of the old city walls of Marrakech, with a 450 sq m Grand Salon, restaurants and extensive gardens used for weddings and receptions.
La Mamounia stands against the ramparts of the old city of Marrakech, on grounds that began in the 18th century as an estate of thirteen hectares known for open-air receptions. The hotel opened there in 1923. Weddings and receptions can use Le Grand Salon, which measures 450 sq m and divides into three areas of 150 sq m, as well as the gardens, the restaurant terraces, the Moroccan tent and the Lanternes beside the pool. Le Menzeh, in the heart of the gardens, can host a civil ceremony.
The hotel has 135 rooms, 71 suites and three garden riads, and the Exceptional Baldaquin Suite serves as the bridal suite. Four restaurants, four bars and two tea rooms are on site, and the spa extends over 2,500 sq m with two traditional hammams and a hairdressing salon. The whole hotel can be privately hired, or selected spaces such as the restaurants, riads, cinema, cellar and gardens. Catering, sound, lighting and floral decoration are provided by the hotel. Marrakech-Menara airport is 6 km away, about ten minutes by car.

A palace beside the old city walls
La Mamounia stands against the ramparts of the old city of Marrakech. Its gardens trace back to the 18th century, when Prince Al-Mamoun inherited a thirteen-hectare estate known for open-air receptions, and the hotel opened there in 1923. The grounds hold olive and palm trees, roses and bougainvillea, with the Koutoubia minaret and the Atlas Mountains in view.
