Ycona Luxury Resort

Ycona Luxury Resort stands on the east coast of Zanzibar, in the north of Marumbi, above a private white-sand bay of about 500 metres. The resort owns more than 60,000 square metres of tropical forest, manicured grounds and spice garden overlooking the Indian Ocean. It opened to guests at the end of 2023 and has 40 private villas, four restaurants, three bars, an underground wine cellar, a gym and a spa with a yoga patio. The architecture combines natural stone, warm wood and large glass panels, and the resort works toward carbon neutrality with solar power.

Weddings and celebrations can be arranged on the sand banks that form at low tide, on the beach, in the private caves, at the villas, on the Y pool deck, and in the spice and botanic gardens or beside the tropical lake. The resort's wedding planners help couples with the budget, menu, decoration, photographers and music, and the newlyweds are gifted one complimentary night. Private dining can be set in a villa, beside a villa pool or on the sand, and the Cave Spa offers couples' treatments overlooking a lake.
