De Vere Wokefield Estate stands on 250 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Reading in Berkshire, ten minutes from junction 11 of the M4 and forty minutes from Heathrow. A sweeping drive leads to the white mansion house, with a lake and manicured gardens, and the estate has a golf course and a leisure club with a pool. There are over 300 bedrooms: 87 in the mansion, including 12 suites, 222 in the contemporary Wokefield Place and 40 in Wellington Lodge.
The Terrace Suite in the mansion is licensed for 300 guests at a ceremony and 200 at a reception, with a private terrace over the lawns and lake. The Lincoln Suite takes civil ceremonies for up to 120 and receptions for about 100, and the Palmer, Old Lounge and Mortimer suites suit weddings of 10 to 40. A licensed wedding pavilion on the back lawns hosts outdoor ceremonies in front of the mansion. A dedicated wedding team plans each day, the executive chef writes the menus, and self-catered weddings are allowed in the mansion and in Wokefield Place. The estate has 350 free parking spaces.
