How much does a wedding in Surrey cost? Published venue prices

Of the 8 Surrey venues listed, 7 publish a wedding price, and the figures measure different things: a per person price, a package, a hire fee or an indicative package.

7 of the 8 Surrey venues listed on 5 Star Weddings publish a wedding price. Kew Palace quotes for each wedding. The seven figures measure different things: four are charged per person, one is a fixed package for a stated number of guests, one is a palace hire fee and one is an indicative package. A per person price and a hire fee cannot be set side by side, so the useful question is what each figure covers and what it leaves for another contract.

Per person prices, and what sits on top

Four Surrey venues publish a price per person. They are listed here alphabetically, because the figures are not comparable: some add venue hire to the total, and for others the record does not say.

De Vere Horsley Estate, near Leatherhead, records £147 per person including VAT for its 2026 Ada Byron wedding breakfast package, rising to £156 in 2027 and £162 in 2028. The package covers prosecco and two canapé choices on arrival, a three course set dinner with coffee and mints, half a bottle of wine per person, a toast drink and evening bacon or sausage baps. Venue hire is charged on top. Exclusive use of Horsley Towers runs from £3,500 on a Sunday between January and April and in November 2026 to £9,000 on a Saturday between May and October and in December 2026, including VAT. The minimum is 50 adults from Sunday to Thursday and 70 on Fridays and Saturdays. The venue’s own worked example is a Sunday in January 2026 for 50 adults on the Ada Byron package, which comes to about £10,850. An intimate package starts from £6,000 for 30 guests on Sundays.

Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa, near Haslemere, records a price from £119 per person. The record lists a ceremony in the Ivory Room, the Hampton Suite or the Tudor Oak Room among what the figure covers. Exclusive use is recorded as partial: priority use of the wedding spaces and grounds within a working hotel of 43 bedrooms, with exclusive use available on request.

Non Such Mansion, in Nonsuch Park at Cheam, records an Essentials package from £164.99 per person including VAT, plus venue hire. The package covers three canapés per person, a three course wedding meal, prosecco with a soft cocktail alternative at the reception, half a bottle of house wine per person, a further glass of prosecco for the toast, tea, coffee and petit fours, unlimited soft drinks, a dedicated wedding planner, the team for set up, service and clearing, and furniture, crockery, glassware and linen. Venue hire depends on the day and the season:

  • Sunday to Thursday: £2,500 in high season (June to September), £2,000 in mid season (April, May, October, December), £1,500 in low season (January to March, November).
  • Friday: £3,000 high, £2,500 mid, £2,000 low.
  • Saturday: £3,500 high, £3,000 mid, £2,500 low.

Bank holidays and peak seasonal dates are priced on request. On-site accommodation is recorded at £2,000 per night including a continental breakfast.

The Runnymede on Thames, at Egham, records all inclusive wedding packages from £105 per person. The record does not break that figure down, so ask for the inclusions in writing.

Fixed packages and palace hire

Farnham Castle records an all inclusive package at £18,000 for 2027, for up to 50 adult guests. It covers venue hire, the festoon lit canopy and bar on the Great Lawn, the Gatehouse and Pembroke preparation suites, a ceremony room or an outdoor ceremony with ceremony décor, the Beaufort all inclusive drinks package with a toast drink, light evening food, Great Hall décor, a DJ and dance floor, the Honeymoon Suite, an event manager and a couples’ tasting evening. Because it is a single figure for a fixed guest number, it should not be divided into a per person price.

Hampton Court Palace, at East Molesey, records palace hire from £18,000 plus VAT, which is evening exclusive hire of the palace. The Garden Room and the Little Banqueting House can be hired privately by day: the Garden Room from £5,000, and the Little Banqueting House from £3,500 to £5,000 depending on the package. VAT is stated for the palace figure only. Catering comes from approved suppliers and is priced separately, so every one of these figures is a hire fee for the space.

Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa, near Redhill, records an indicative package from £6,850, which the record also describes as about £140 a head. The number of guests the £6,850 is priced for is not recorded, so treat it as an indication of scale and ask for a quote for your numbers. The package includes a ceremony in the galleried Great Hall or a smaller room, the wedding breakfast beneath the minstrels’ gallery, drinks on the south terrace and use of the Cloisters, the Library and the Gibson Room for the celebration. The hotel has 58 bedrooms. Exclusive use of the mansion is recorded as indicative, from around £12,800.

The venue that does not publish a price

Kew Palace, on Kew Green, is recorded as available for exclusive use for a single wedding, with a civil ceremony in the Georgian State Rooms and dinner or a reception in the Royal Kitchens, for up to 40 guests. It publishes no price, so the cost is a quote for the date and the guest list.

Questions to put to every venue

  • Is the price a package or a hire fee? Ask what the room alone costs and what the meal alone costs.
  • What are the minimums? De Vere Horsley Estate sets a minimum number of adults that changes by day, and Farnham Castle prices a stated number of adults.
  • Does the price move with the date? Non Such Mansion’s hire and De Vere Horsley Estate’s hire both change by day of the week and season.
  • Is VAT included? It is stated for De Vere Horsley Estate’s price and hire, Non Such Mansion’s per person price and Hampton Court Palace’s palace hire. For the other figures, ask.
  • Who caters? Hampton Court Palace uses approved suppliers, while the De Vere Horsley Estate and Non Such Mansion packages include a three course meal.
  • Is the whole venue yours on the day? Exclusive use is recorded as yes for six of the eight venues, partial at Lythe Hill and not recorded at The Runnymede on Thames.
