Amathus Beach Hotel stands on the seafront at Agios Tychonas, on the coast east of Limassol. It opened in 1973 beside the site of the ancient royal city of Amathus, and in 1986 became the first member in Cyprus of The Leading Hotels of the World. Weddings are held outdoors on the Gardens and Lawns and on a private Pier at the water's edge, and indoors in two ballrooms that can be used separately or joined into one large room.
The hotel's own kitchens prepare gala dinners, buffets and set menus, and guests staying over can eat at Limanaki Seafood Restaurant, The Grill Room or Kalypso Restaurant. Rooms and suites face the sea or the inland side, and some junior suites have private pools. The Spa and Wellness Centre, which opened in 2002, has a heated indoor seawater pool, and the hotel offers honeymoon packages for couples who stay on after the wedding. Limassol city centre is about ten minutes away by car, and both Larnaca and Paphos airports are roughly forty minutes away.

A hotel on the beach since 1973
The hotel opened in 1973 on the seafront at Ancient Amathus and in 1986 became the first member in Cyprus of The Leading Hotels of the World. It stands beside the ruins of the ancient royal city of Amathus, and the hotel keeps three tombs from the archaic period in its grounds, open to guests to see.
Outdoors by the sea
Weddings are held on the Gardens and Lawns, which seat up to 400 for dinner and take up to 3,000 for a cocktail reception, and on the Pier, which seats 60 at round tables or 80 at long tables and takes 150 for cocktails.
Ballrooms indoors
Indoors, the Demetra Ballroom of 442 square metres and the Ares Ballroom of 176 square metres can be used separately or joined as a single space of 618 square metres, which seats up to 400 at round tables. The hotel's own kitchens supply gala dinners, buffets and set menus.
