A Marcel Wanders designed hotel on the Buda bank of the Danube, with 127 rooms and suites, a restaurant, two bars and a ballroom for celebrations.
Kimpton BEM Budapest occupies a historic building on Bem József tér, on the Buda bank of the Danube and at the foot of the Castle District. Marcel Wanders designed the interiors, carrying a forest and water theme through the lobby, the bars and the guest rooms. The hotel has 127 rooms and suites, including the 50 square metre Cosmos Suite and the 107 square metre Observatory Suite, which opens onto a furnished outdoor area.
Celebrations are held in the BEM Ballroom, a daylit ground floor room of 146 square metres that can be divided into three sections. Smaller spaces include the Turul Chamber beside Bar HUSO, the MW Salon and the Golden Stag Corner on the mezzanine, and the LED Hall with its built-in LED wall. Menus are written by the hotel's own chefs. AGOS serves modern-Mediterranean cooking from an open kitchen with Josper grills, and feNNen Skybar on the fifth floor gives a rooftop terrace with a glass pavilion for drinks. Guests can also use the wellness area, with a hot tub, steam room and sauna, and the 24-hour gym. The hotel is pet friendly and has a secured underground car park.

A mansion on the Danube
The hotel occupies a historic building on Bem József tér, at the foot of the Castle District on the Buda side of the river. Interiors were designed by Marcel Wanders, with forest and water themes carried through the public rooms, bars and guest rooms.

feNNen Skybar on the fifth floor is a garden-style rooftop with a glass pavilion, a terrace and views over Budapest, used by the hotel for private drinks and gatherings.

The hotel itself is stunning
The Kimpton BEM is a true gem! It is easily one of the best Kimpton's we have ever stayed at. The rooms are quiet and very spacious. The hotel itself is stunning with its Hungarian forest and water theming. Everyone is so friendly and the concierge Miklos went over and beyond by highlighting the outstanding local wine collection at the hotel and even went so far as to give us a wonderful tasting. These were some of the best wines of our vacation. The restaurant, AGOS, was outstanding and the hotel's daily breakfast was delicious. This is a must stay if you are planning a trip to Budapest!
