About Frutt Mountain Resort

Frutt Mountain Resort is a four-star superior resort at 1,920 metres beside Lake Melchsee in Obwalden, with 114 rooms and suites, two spas and a rooftop terrace.

Frutt Mountain Resort stands at 1,920 metres beside Lake Melchsee on the Melchsee-Frutt plateau in Obwalden, in the middle of Switzerland. The plateau is car-free, and guests arrive by gondola from the Stöckalp valley station or, in summer, by a mountain road. The resort is managed by Kempinski and carries a four-star superior rating. It is made up of two lodges joined by an underground tunnel: the Mountain Lodge, with a spa for guests aged 13 and over, and the Lago Lodge, which has a family spa, a kids' club, a bowling alley and a cinema. Its 114 rooms and suites are furnished in wood and have large windows onto the mountains or the lake.

For a wedding, the Titlis function room sits on the top floor, a pillarless 150 square metres with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be divided in two. It opens onto a 283 square metre rooftop terrace with views towards Mount Titlis and down to the lake. Receptions can use the event spaces on their own, or the whole resort can be taken over for a multi-day celebration. Restaurant Titschli serves alpine cuisine, Restaurant Lago Italian dishes and wood-fired pizza, and Stübli Special Cuts steaks, with two bars and terraces beside them. In winter the resort is ski-in and ski-out, with snowshoe routes and a long toboggan run, and in summer the plateau has marked hiking and biking trails.
