Mitheo Events works from two offices, one in Kolonaki in Athens and one in Como on Lake Como. It plans weddings across the Greek islands and mainland, in Italy's main wedding regions, in France and elsewhere in Europe. The team is multilingual and works in English, Italian and French.
Michaela Theodorakakou founded the company and leads it as creative director. She has more than two decades of experience in luxury design and destination event planning, with a background in fine arts and scenography. George Markoulis is co-founder and chief executive, and a team of planners and designers works with them, including Joanna Loukaki as director of events.
The company takes on a limited number of events each year and specialises in multi day weddings, where welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions and farewell brunches are planned as one programme. Recent work includes a four day wedding across Athens and Mani for 200 guests and a three day wedding on the Athenian Riviera for 600 guests.
In Italy the team has planned weddings at Lake Como villas including Villa Balbiano, Villa Pizzo and Villa Erba, on the Amalfi Coast at Villa Astor, in Tuscany, Rome, Taormina and Portofino. In Greece it has worked in Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Kefalonia, Spetses, Hydra, Mani and on the Athenian Riviera, and it also plans parties, corporate events and travel experiences.
Michaela has spoken at industry events including Engage! and the RSVP Symposium, and the company was featured in the DWP Insider Planner and Designer Powerlist 2025 to 2026.
