Crete for Love is a wedding and romantic event planning company based in Chania, on the north west coast of Crete. It plans events only on the island, throughout the year including winter, and has built a network of hand picked venues and suppliers there, from sandy beaches and wineries to private villas, estates and olive groves.
Anna Laudanska founded the company in 2013 after a career in tourism, hospitality and event planning, and leads each event as head planner. She lives in Crete all year, and the company says every package includes the personal presence of the dedicated coordinator on the day.
“My goal is to make every couple feel secure and informed properly so they can experience the most fun and efficient wedding planning process leading them to the day of their life!”
Anna Laudanska, founder and head planner
The team takes on events from 2 to 350 guests, with an average of 40 to 100, and offers packages for elopements, vow renewals, civil and church weddings, small weddings, same sex ceremonies, proposals and full wedding coordination. Couples can use a ready made package or a fully customised one, and every package can be adjusted.
Legal formalities are part of the service. For civil and church weddings the company acts as the couple's representative in Greece, handles document translation by authorised translators, submits the application to the town hall, escorts the couple to receive the marriage certificate and provides witnesses where needed.
The style leans to organic, Mediterranean settings with considered detail, from welcome signs and florals to Greek food and music, and the company's wedding photography is shot by Andreas Markakis Photography, who is credited on most of its published real weddings.
