Dating back to 1485, Caswell House is a rich tapestry of history. It has 15 years of experience hosting unique celebrations.
Available for one- and two-night stays, Caswell House offers flexibility for couples to create a truly personal wedding. Comprised of 16 well-appointed bedrooms hosted in a mixture of cottages and barns, the accommodation is reserved exclusively for couples and up to 30 guests. The luxurious Honeymoon Suite has a magnificent king-size bed and handmade bateau bath. This idyllic and romantic place to retire is provided with our compliments.
The two preparation spaces, The Dressing Room and The Games Room offer dedicated spaces for the Bridal parties to spend their wedding morning in style.
Licensed for both outdoor and indoor ceremonies, couples can say their vows in the medieval barns under the restored oak beams or outside against the backdrop of the ancient Loggia. For church ceremonies, both Witney & Bampton are home to historical churches and are only a 10-minute drive away.
Following the ceremony, guests can relax and enjoy the surroundings of the lovingly landscaped courtyard garden and the historic beauty of the Cotswolds stone barns. The barns' classic simplicity lends itself to each couple’s individual style, offering an exquisite backdrop to your ceremony and wedding breakfast.

Caswell House understands that beverages are just as important as food and is proud to be a corkage-free venue. In addition, the licensed Oak Bar located in Bartlett's barn is fully stocked and available to guests until 11.45 pm.

Cost of Venue Hire: Our venue hire prices range from £2,500 to £9,750, inclusive of VAT, based on availability. For pricing on specific dates, please contact us.
What’s Included: Venue hire grants exclusive use of three medieval barns from 10 am to midnight (with possible extensions), accommodating up to 200 evening guests. This includes tables, chairs, a Bose PA system, access to luxurious dressing areas and a stunning honeymoon suite.
Parking: Ample parking is available for guests, and overnight parking is permitted until 10 a.m. the following day.
Wedding Ceremonies: Choose from indoor ceremonies in Wenmans Barn or outdoor ceremonies in our picturesque Loggia from April to September. We accommodate ceremonies from 1 pm, recommending a 2 pm start time for optimal flow.
Church Services and Celebrant-led Ceremonies: We welcome church services and celebrant-led ceremonies, ensuring your day aligns with your vision.
Capacity and Comfort: With 16 elegantly furnished rooms, including a complimentary honeymoon suite, we can accommodate up to 32 adults and 8 children under 12, with family room options available.
Breakfast and Amenities: Guests staying on-site will enjoy a continental breakfast with hot rolls and an early check-in at 1 p.m. to maximize the celebratory day.
On-Site Bar and Corkage: Our fully stocked Oak Bar opens from the drinks reception onwards. There are no corkage fees for your chosen champagne, Prosecco, Pimm’s, wine, and a soft drink option during the reception.
Cocktails and Special Requests: Pre-ordered cocktails and a Gin Bar are available for the drinks reception, enhancing your celebration with sophistication.
Preferred Suppliers: While catering, lighting, and alternative furniture must be sourced through our stipulated suppliers, you can choose other vendors to personalize your day further.
Fairy Lights and Additional Decor: Fairy lights in Bartletts and Joslins barns are included, and Oakwood Events offers options to add more.
Access and Coordination: Access times are clearly outlined, and our team will handle setting up your decorations and coordinating to ensure a seamless day.
Post-Celebration Details: Our team takes care of packing down decorations, and there is a designated area for collecting items the following day.
