Elegante by Michelle J is a luxury wedding planning service, specialising in both overseas destination weddings and UK wedding weekends.

Founder and Lead Planner, Michelle Jacobs, offers meticulous attention to detail coupled with creative flair and delivers a service that, in her words, is "a hug, not a handshake".  Based in London, Michelle works with couples who are based both in the UK and elsewhere around the world. 

With her lengthy experience and valued industry connections, Michelle is passionate about designing and delivering the wedding dream.  Her mission is to create the most magical of memories for her couples, their families and their guests and to ensure that the entire wedding planning journey is both enjoyable and stress free.

As a destination wedding planning specialist, Michelle is increasingly being asked to assist with UK weddings which have a destination element. "Destination wedding planning requires skills that might not be utilised for a wedding close to home. So, in addition to planning, designing and co-ordinating the wedding itself I will also assist with finding a suitable venue for a UK wedding weekend, planning all of the logistics around travel and accommodation, and planning all of the other wedding weekend hospitality. If you bring all of your guests together over the course of a weekend, you will have the opportunity to spend quality time with each and every one of them. Guests at a UK destination wedding generally become connected and bonded in such a way that the atmosphere is incredibly special and unique to your day."

Most Elegante by Michelle J clients opt for Michelle's full wedding planning, design and co-ordination service and as such she takes only a small number of weddings each year to ensure that she is able to devote the required time and attention to each of her couples.

Once her schedule for the current year has been mapped out, she then releases a number of opportunities for couples to book the Elegante by Michelle J team for either their "On the Day PLUS" service or a more bespoke partial planning service.  In keeping with the ethos of the full service, both on the day and partial planning incorporate the Elegante warm, caring approach and a dedication to ensuring that each wedding day is designed and delivered to the highest of standards.

Michelle is proud to have seen her weddings featured in publications such as You & Your Wedding,  and has been a regional finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards, plus she has been a guest speaker at wedding industry events such as Wed-x Italia.
