Dream Weddings Mykonos is a boutique wedding planning team that lives and works on Mykonos all year round. It was founded by Margarita Samanoglou, who was born and raised on the island and has organised weddings there since 2010, when a friend asked her to plan his own.
Margarita studied Marketing Management at the American College of Greece, Deree, and later completed a Graduate Diploma in Strategic Communications and Public Relations. She leads the team, and Evelina Vakali, who joined in 2019 and began in client communication, now works as an associate event planner overseeing vendors, wedding design, decoration and coordination.
The team plans weddings of many kinds, from a micro wedding of 20 guests to celebrations of 200, as well as elopements, pre- and post-wedding events and parties. Its portfolio includes a five-day Jewish wedding, Moroccan and Mizrahi henna celebrations, a same-sex beach wedding, a villa wedding and a wedding on the Athens Riviera.
Because the team is based on Mykonos, it works with the island's venues, villas, chapels and vendors directly and supports local professionals. Couples can ask for venue scouting visits, and the team arranges photographers, florists, caterers, entertainment, transport, accommodation, guest management and RSVP hosting.
