Paola Lapi plans weddings in Taormina, where she was born and grew up, and anywhere else in Sicily. Her clients are mostly international couples organising from another country: her published work includes a couple from Dubai at Villa Mon Repos and an Italian-American couple on the private beach of UNAHOTELS Capotaormina.
She runs the practice herself and follows each wedding directly. Before setting up on her own she studied Event Management, worked between Milan and Paris, and spent time in luxury hospitality including Four Seasons. For a small wedding she may bring one or two assistants; for a larger one she puts together a bigger team.

The work covers venue scouting, choosing and booking suppliers, the design of the day, timelines, guest accommodation and transfers, and coordination on site. She also plans the events around a wedding: her portfolio shows a welcome dinner at Lido La Caravella in the Bay of Mazzaro, a pre-wedding dinner at Grand Hotel San Pietro with a blue and white design, and an engagement celebration at Villa Mon Repos.
Her weddings lean on colour and place. The Capotaormina wedding used lilac, orange, yellow and light blue with fresh lemons; a Villa Mon Repos wedding used a pastel palette for a symbolic ceremony and dinner in the garden. She names Giardini di Villa Fago, San Domenico Palace, Grand Hotel Timeo and Hotel Villa Sant'Andrea among the Taormina venues she suggests.
She takes a limited number of weddings each season and suggests one or two planning trips for couples from abroad, one to choose the venue and key suppliers and one nearer the date, with the rest handled by email, phone, video call or WhatsApp.
