Tracy Lavin grew up in Ireland and trained at a leading Irish hospitality and catering college before working in hotels there.
She then moved to the UK and progressed through four and five-star hotels in London and the north of England, reaching general management. Wanting to work more closely with individual clients, she set up her own company for high-end weddings and events, based near Manchester Airport.
The company takes a single wedding per day or weekend, with a maximum of 12 weddings a year, because many of them run over two or three days. It can arrange everything from the first brief, drawing on a network of suppliers around the world, or join the project once a venue has been chosen.
Weddings have taken place at Kensington Palace, stately homes, luxury villas, five-star hotels, country estates and the Soho Collection. Overseas, locations have included Cannes, Monaco, Lake Garda, Lake Como, Florence, Mallorca, Scotland, Ireland and Mauritius.
Couples are not required to use the company's own suppliers. Guest lists range from around 80 to 500, and the company has worked with many nationalities in the UK and abroad.
Venues are ideally confirmed around 18 months ahead, though bookings with under a year's notice have been taken on.
Mood boards and sample materials set out the style for the whole wedding, from invitations and flowers to lighting and transport.
