Ballium Luxury Relais is a nineteenth-century Sicilian baglio in the Val di Noto, built around an inner courtyard and once the home of the Marquis Loffredo. It stands inside the Cavagrande del Cassibile nature reserve near Avola, with the Iblei Mountains on one side and views towards the sea and the Gelsomineto Oasis on the other. A conservative restoration, completed in March 2018, kept the original architecture and added refined common areas.
The courtyard, olive gardens and outdoor areas host ceremonies and receptions, and the estate is licensed for civil ceremonies. Indoors there is a hall, a lounge with a wine bar beside an ancient millstone, and a portico. Fifteen rooms, suites and junior suites sleep up to 46 guests, and an outdoor pool and hot tub with a solarium complete a multi-day stay. The whole estate is reserved for one wedding per day. Noto lies about 10 km away and Syracuse about 20 km.

A baglio from the 1800s
The residence dates from the first half of the nineteenth century and was once the home of the Marquis Loffredo. It follows the Sicilian noble baglio plan, with buildings around an inner courtyard. A conservative restoration finished in March 2018.
