Villa del Vecchio Pozzo in Posillipo
Villa del Vecchio Pozzo is a seventeenth-century villa in Posillipo, set within the city of Naples. Recent renovation added modern comforts while keeping the house's spirit and charm. In the seventeenth century it served as a significant residence, and it witnessed historical events such as Masaniello's rebellion. In the nineteenth century it became a gathering place for the Neapolitan aristocracy, who held intellectual discourses and grand receptions here. Today the villa hosts weddings and private celebrations, as well as other milestone events, among them baptisms, birthdays and corporate gatherings. On arrival, guests find panoramic views of Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples, and the well called Vecchio Pozzo.
Weddings here move between gardens, terraces and indoor salons, with a particular emphasis on outdoor, American-style celebrations. The interiors and exteriors were designed for festivities under the open sky. Décor, menus and layouts are shaped around each couple, from centrepieces and floral arrangements to the broader theme. The villa hosts events year-round. Spring, summer and early autumn are the most requested periods because of the terraces and garden spaces, while indoor rooms and covered areas support use in every season. The layout is flexible and suits intimate gatherings as well as larger celebrations. Weddings are planned individually rather than from fixed packages. Each event is customised to the guest numbers, the catering and the spaces chosen within the villa.
