About Esplanade Boutique Hotel

The Esplanade Boutique Hotel is a small garden hotel at Paestum, on the Cilento coast, where weddings are held in the garden, by the pool or in the salons with in-house catering.

The Esplanade Boutique Hotel is the founding house of the Pagano family, restored in 1980 at Paestum on the Cilento coast. It is a small garden hotel among the umbrella pines that fringe the beach, a short walk from the Greek temples. A grand piano stands in the lobby, hand-painted ceramics from Vietri sul Mare run through the interiors, and the rooms open onto the garden and the pool.

Weddings are held in the garden or beside the pool, with receptions in the salons, the chinoiserie dining room or outdoors. The hotel is a working house rather than a private villa, yet small enough for a wedding party to take much of it, and the event spaces, garden and pool are set aside for the day. Catering is in-house, built on the cooking of the Cilento and produce from the family's own estate. The house has hosted weddings for over forty years. Naples Airport is about an hour and a quarter away by road.

The family's founding hotel

In 1980 Giuseppe Pagano and his wife Giusy restored this small hotel at Paestum into a house with the feel of a private villa and the service of a fine hotel. A grand piano stands in the lobby and the interiors are dressed in hand-painted ceramics from Vietri sul Mare. It has since become the root of a wider family hospitality business on the Cilento coast.

Garden, pool and salons

The garden runs in many shades down to the pool, and the salons look out over the water. Couples marry in the garden or by the pool, then move to the salons, the chinoiserie dining room or back outside for dinner. The house has held weddings for more than forty years.

A few kilometres inland, the Paganos farm the organic San Salvatore 1988 estate, with vineyards, olive groves, a dairy and a herd of more than 750 water buffalo. Wine, olive oil and mozzarella from the estate feed the hotel's kitchen, and the sister Savoy is home to the Michelin-starred Tre Olivi.

Naples

The Esplanade is at Paestum, on the Cilento coast in the south of Campania, among the umbrella pines that line the beach. The Greek temples of Paestum, among the best preserved in the world, are a short walk away; Salerno is about forty minutes, and Naples and its airport around an hour and a quarter. It is a quieter, wilder coast than the Amalfi over the headland, and all the more romantic for it.

Quality and professionalism.

On July 2nd, we were at this hotel for a wedding. We were very satisfied with everything. The cleanliness, the organization, the quality from the appetizer to the dessert, the spaces, the availability and kindness of the staff, led impeccably by Costantino. Truly well done, from me who is writing, because I am not used to giving them out in profusion. We hope to return.

Excellent experience

Elegant property, I was at the property for a wedding, I had an unforeseen event and it was the owner herself who came to my rescue…. Excellent food and a 10/10 location.

Only once in a lifetime... and I would still choose the Esplanade

We got married at the Boutique Hotel Esplanade on August 28, 2026, and, a few days later, we are still struggling to find the right words to describe how special our experience was. The choice of the Esplanade came almost a year before the wedding, but from the very first moment we had the feeling that we were in the right place. The environment, the elegance of the property, the friendliness, and above all that professionalism that you can feel in the air made us realize that we were entrusting such an important day to the right people. And today we can say that we made a wonderful choice. A special mention goes to Daniele, who handled the entire administrative, bureaucratic, and organizational part with incredible precision. Everything that is often not seen behind an event, but which is fundamental for everything to work, was handled with care and professionalism. Then there is Paola, our wedding planner, who managed to transform every detail into something special. She knew how to grasp our needs, anticipate requirements, and take care of those touches that, in the end, made the difference between a nice wedding and a truly unforgettable wedding. In the dining room, a huge thank you goes to Costantino, the maître d', who with professionalism, presence, and discretion made the experience perfect both for us and for our guests. He managed to guide us step by step throughout the entire day, ensuring that everything was in its place and that everything proceeded without the slightest hitch. At his side, invaluable, was Enrico, who contributed with the same attention and availability to making everything impeccable. And then Giusy, the owner, of a kindness and cordiality that are hard to forget. A person who, in our opinion, perfectly represents the spirit of the Esplanade: hospitality, elegance, availability, and attention toward the guest. But the thing that makes us happiest is what remained after that day. The memories. The wedding lasts one day, but the emotions of that day remain forever. And knowing that we chose a venue that helped make those memories so beautiful for us is something that is priceless. We received so many compliments from our guests: for the venue, for the service, for the quality of the food, and for the atmosphere that could be felt. And perhaps this is the most beautiful recognition we could have received, because it means that what we experienced also reached the people we love. If we had to go back, we would do everything exactly the same way. In fact, we would especially make one choice again: the Esplanade. The only real shame is that you only get married once. Because if we could choose again the place to experience one of the most important days of our lives, we would choose you again. Without a doubt. Thanks to the entire Esplanade staff for having transformed our August 28th into a memory that we will carry with us forever.
