About The Taaras Beach and Spa Resort

A beachfront resort on Redang Island, off Malaysia's east coast, offering beach blessings just before sunset and two wedding packages.

The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort sits on Redang Island, the largest island of the Redang archipelago in the South China Sea, off the north east coast of Malaysia. Its private beach is held between two bays, with white sand, clear water and rainforest behind. The resort offers weddings and vow renewals on the beach, with a simple blessing timed for just before sunset.

The resort has 125 suites and rooms, along with a five-bedroom clifftop villa that has its own infinity pool. Four restaurants and bars serve guests, and the Taaras Spa offers a signature massage using heated herbal poultices. The resort arranges its own florist, pastry chef, linens and tableware for celebrations, and can serve a beach barbecue dinner or a buffet of international and Asian fusion dishes. Redang has a protected marine park and a turtle sanctuary in its waters, and guests can watch turtles hatch from May to October. Reaching the island takes a boat from Merang Jetty on the mainland or a direct flight to Redang Airport.
