The Library is a design hotel set on a 6,400 square metre plot of heritage land on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, with a 50-metre beachfront. The concept grew from a love of books, and the architecture is semi-minimalist, in a palette of white, red, black and grey. The buildings were designed without bulldozers so that the old trees could remain, and many rooms look out through them to the sea. The Red Pool, tiled in orange, yellow and deep red, sits between The Lib, a reading room holding over 1,400 books, and The Page, the beachfront restaurant serving Thai and international dishes.
Weddings are planned around five themes, from bohemian and tropical to a traditional Thai ceremony with a monk blessing and a long drum parade. Ceremonies and receptions take place on the beach, at the Red and Long Pool, in the garden or at The Page, for up to 80 guests, while The Lib suits Thai ceremonies of up to 30. Couples stay in an Exotic Suite, a Secret Pool Villa or The Writer, a beachfront villa with its own pool, and the accommodation also includes studios, family suites and the adults-only villa The Editor. The Drawing Room serves Samuian dishes and afternoon tea, and The Index offers spa treatments on call.

A hotel designed around books
The Library stands on a 6,400 square metre plot of heritage land with a 50-metre beachfront on Chaweng Beach. The design is semi-minimalist, in white, red, black and grey, and was built without bulldozers so the old trees on site could stay. The Lib holds a collection of over 1,400 books.
Five ways to marry
Wedding packages are themed Bohemian Romance, Tropical Bloom, Ultimate Chic, Island Reverie and Southern Affair, the last a traditional Thai ceremony with a monk blessing, water-pouring and a long drum parade. Ceremonies sit on the beach, at the Red and Long Pool, in the garden or at The Page.
Villas with private pools
Couples stay in an Exotic Suite, a Secret Pool Villa or, for the Ultimate Chic package, The Writer, a 359 square metre beachfront villa with its own pool. The Editor and The Writer are adults-only villas.

Yes. Each package includes 2 nights for the couple in an Exotic Suite, a Secret Pool Villa or The Writer, depending on the package, with daily breakfast on the beach and a private roundtrip Samui Airport transfer.
Can couples bring their own food and drink?
External food and beverage is not permitted without the hotel's consent, and a corkage fee applies.
What is the payment schedule for a wedding?
A non-refundable 10% deposit confirms the date, due within 7 days of the invoice. A further 50% of the balance is due 90 days before the event and the remainder 30 days before.
Is there a time limit on music?
Loud noise and music are not allowed after 11 pm, and the hotel may lower the volume if it disturbs other guests.
