Victorian mansion above the Fowey estuary with an indoor pool and spa, Cornwall
Fowey Hall is a white Victorian mansion of 1899 above the Fowey estuary in Cornwall, taken for exclusive-use weddings with 36 rooms and suites, an indoor pool and a spa.
Fowey Hall is a white Victorian mansion of 1899 standing high above the harbour town of Fowey on the south Cornish coast. It is said to have inspired Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows, and it now runs as a Luxury Family Hotel that welcomes children as warmly as adults. Inside, the house keeps its plaster ceilings, columns, marble fireplaces and bay windows in a run of drawing rooms and panelled dining rooms, while the gardens and terraces look across the estuary to the sea.
A wedding takes exclusive use of the mansion and its grounds. Ceremonies for up to around 120 guests are held in the drawing rooms or on the lawn above the water, and the wedding breakfast seats around 100 in the dining rooms. The kitchen cooks modern British and Cornish menus with local seafood. There are 36 individually styled rooms and suites, many with estuary views and some sized for families, as well as an indoor pool and a spa. Newquay Cornwall Airport is about 45 minutes away by road, and Bodmin Parkway station about 30.

Fowey Hall was built in 1899 and is said to have inspired Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows. It stands high above the Fowey estuary, and today it runs as a Luxury Family Hotel that is as welcoming to children as it is to adults.

Inside, plaster ceilings, columns, marble fireplaces and bay windows give the drawing rooms their Victorian grandeur. Outside, couples can marry on the lawn with the boats on the water below and the Cornish coast in the distance.

The hotel kitchen cooks modern British and Cornish menus with plenty of local seafood, served in the panelled dining rooms. With the pool, the spa and the gardens to enjoy, the wedding becomes a weekend by the sea for every generation.
