The Lake Country House is a long, low, half-timbered mock-Tudor house begun in 1840. It sits in 50 acres of gardens, woodland, river and lake at Llangammarch Wells, deep in the Powys countryside, and is taken entirely by one wedding at a time.

Couples marry in the light, garden-facing Orangery, in the Grand Dining Room or outdoors by the lake. The wedding breakfast is served in the Grand Dining Room beneath its period ceilings, while drinks and photographs move across the lawns, through the drawing rooms and the oak entrance hall, and down to the water.

With 32 bedrooms the whole party stays on site. The Kingfisher Spa, 9-hole golf, tennis and croquet fill the days around the celebration, and the hotel's private chef cooks modern British and Welsh menus from Mid Wales produce.
