About Luz Houses

A small village-style hotel of 15 rooms and suites in Moimento, Fátima, with a restaurant, gardens, a heated pool and a natural cave for wellness treatments.

Luz Houses is a small village of stone houses set in a pine wood in Moimento, on the edge of Fátima. The buildings reinterpret the regional architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries, with walls of local stone, cylindrical chimneys and a central Mother House that holds reception, a living room with a fireplace and a grocery and crafts store. The pace is slow and the grounds are made for walking, with a garden, a hermitage and a kiosk bar and threshing-floor lounge for evenings outdoors.

Weddings here are intimate and run over a weekend. Guests stay on site in the village rooms and suites, which have white linens and concrete floors, and the Terra Rossa restaurant serves a sharing-style menu built on local produce. Events can use the Hermitage, the gardens and the Mother House. A heated stone pool opens in the warmer months, and treatments in a natural cave give couples and guests a quiet day before or after the celebration. Breakfast is served each morning in the Mother House, so the weekend can end with brunch rather than a rush to the airport.
