Mark Niemierko and Niemierko
Niemierko is a London wedding and event planning company led by its founder, Mark Niemierko, who plans each wedding personally. Its studio is at 7A Hanson Street in Fitzrovia, by appointment only, and its website describes Mark as having more than 15 years' experience in weddings and events.
Its wedding portfolio is set in some of the best-known London addresses, among them Kensington Palace, Lancaster House, Banqueting House, the British Museum, The Savoy, One Marylebone, Battersea Power Station and Battersea Evolution, and in country houses and hotels including Althorp House, Cliveden House, Lime Wood, Stapleford Park, the Grove and the Four Seasons in Hampshire. The company has also worked at Oxford University.
Planning is treated as part of the experience. Couples receive a series of keepsake boxes through the months of planning, including a Wedding Planning Essentials Box by Anya Hindmarch and a Smythson wedding planner. Mark finds the venue, arranges chauffeur-driven viewings and escorts brides to designer boutiques for dress appointments, and he attends New York Bridal Fashion Week twice a year to preview collections.
On the day, a team of Niemierko Hosts looks after guests, from curbside greetings to serving confetti, while the planners run the timings behind the scenes. Mark appears regularly on BBC Breakfast for wedding news, and also teaches the Niemierko Wedding Academy for aspiring planners. The company also plans parties and events, and children's celebrations as Niemierko Kids.
