KM Events is a wedding and event company in Etiler, Istanbul, open since 1995. It plans, designs and produces weddings and events in Turkey, across Europe and in the Middle East, and keeps a representative office in Dubai. Couples have come to it from Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Pakistan and India.
Meltem Bayazıt Tepeler
The company is led by its founder, Meltem Bayazıt Tepeler. She was the founding president of YEPUD, the Turkish event association, from 2007 to 2014, and has been founding president of TUED, the International Events Association of Turkey, since 2019. She sits on the board of the European chapter of the International Live Events Association and is vice president of its Turkey chapter.
Meltem also wrote Weddings and İstanbul, a book on destination weddings in Turkey published in 2010 and 2012. She founded the Event Management Certificate Program at the lifelong education centre of Boğaziçi University, where she teaches.
Weddings in Istanbul, Bodrum and Antalya
Most of the work is in Turkey. The company’s wedding portfolio includes Çırağan Palace Kempinski, Rixos Tersane, Princes’ Palace Resort, Esma Sultan, the Shangri-La Bosphorus and Divan Kuruçeşme in Istanbul, with further weddings in Bodrum and Antalya. Couples planning in the city can browse more wedding venues in Istanbul, and the Turkey Wedding Atlas covers marrying in the country.
Destination weddings abroad
KM Events has also created destination weddings for international couples in London, Santorini, Lake Como, Barcelona and the UAE. It describes its services as available in all parts of the world.
Planning, design and production
The company covers wedding planning, wedding design and production, and multi-day celebrations. Alongside weddings it plans and produces luxury social events and exhibitions, among them the Table Design Exhibition in Turkey.
