Exclusive-use Tudor manor house with its own church in 350 acres of parkland near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Hengrave Hall is a sixteenth-century Tudor manor house near Bury St Edmunds, taken on exclusive hire, with its own church, a Long Gallery for 140 and 21 bedrooms in 350 acres of Suffolk parkland.
Hengrave Hall is a sixteenth-century Tudor manor house of pale stone and red brick, set in 350 acres of parkland and formal gardens about three miles from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The grounds hold clipped topiary, fountains and lawns, and the hall has its own church, the Church of St John Lateran. Inside, the Long Gallery has an ornate ceiling, the Banqueting Hall is panelled, and an Italian-style courtyard and a West Terrace open onto the gardens.
The hall is taken on an exclusive-hire basis, so only one wedding is held at a time and the house, church and estate belong to that party alone. Religious ceremonies take place in the church, civil ceremonies in the ground-floor rooms for up to 140, and the Long Gallery seats up to 140 for the wedding breakfast. Milsom Catering, the hall's exclusive partner, serves seasonal modern British menus. Twenty-one bedrooms across the hall and the Walled Gardens, many with four-poster beds, let the whole party stay, while the Queen Elizabeth Suite and the Blue Room are used for getting ready. The A14 and the A11 lead towards Cambridge and London Stansted.

We got married at Hengrave Hall in December 2025 – it was the most magical Christmas wedding. We could not recommend enough to anyone considering it as their future wedding venue. It is everything and more – all of our guests were completely taken aback over how stunning the venue was and all commented on how smooth everything went. The team are phenomenal and helped us every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble and everything ran like clockwork – there was nothing to stress about in the lead up and on the day. The rooms are beautiful which made it extra special for the everyone who stayed. Thank you Hengrave Hall! Xx
