About El Martinete Villa

El Martinete is a private beachfront villa on Marbella's Golden Mile, once the home of the dancer Antonio el Bailarín, let to one wedding at a time.

El Martinete stands on Marbella's Golden Mile, a few steps from the Mediterranean and directly opposite Puerto Banús. The villa was the home of Antonio Ruiz Soler, the dancer known across Spain as Antonio el Bailarín, and it keeps the character of a house made for performance: gilded salons, original artworks and a mosaic pool, La Danza, which local lore links to Picasso. The estate has a private beach, gardens, courtyards, a spa with an indoor pool and a private gym.

The whole villa is let to one wedding at a time. Ceremonies are arranged on the pool terrace, in the gardens, on the beach or in the salons, and dinners follow under the palms or among the art indoors, with up to 200 guests seated. Private chefs from the house team prepare Mediterranean and Andalusian menus. Six suites and two guest houses sleep up to 18, so the couple and their closest guests stay within the walls. Málaga Airport is about 50 minutes away by road and Puerto Banús ten minutes.

The dancer's villa

El Martinete was the home of Antonio Ruiz Soler, the dancer known across Spain as Antonio el Bailarín. The house still has the theatre he gave it, with gilded salons, original artworks, sculpture in the halls and the La Danza mosaic pool, which the villa's story ties to Picasso.

WONDERFUL hosts

I'm a travel agent and booked this villa for my very discerning clients for a months stay. The service could not have been better. Ute and her team were WONDERFUL hosts. They were kind, quick, understanding, and so easy to work with. The villa itself is MASSIVE. So much grander in person. Photos don't do it justice. It's also well equipped with plenty of fun, relaxing amenities. The group never grew tired or bored. There's an incredible indoor pool and spa level with a sauna. The ping pong tables outside were fun. The villa is also directly on the main strip of Marbella so it's really easy to get around. Cannot recommend this villa enough.
