High above Lake Lucerne, Bürgenstock occupies a spectacular mountain ridge with sweeping views across the water and the Swiss Alps. Weddings take place in luxury resort hotels, elegant ballrooms and selected panoramic terraces, where contemporary architecture and dramatic mountain scenery provide memorable settings for celebrations.
The resort area is reached from the lakeshore by the historic Bürgenstock funicular, while walking paths along the ridge reveal changing perspectives of the surrounding mountains and lake. The Hammetschwand Lift, one of the area's most celebrated landmarks, rises towards an elevated viewpoint overlooking the landscape. Below, Lake Lucerne winds between steep wooded slopes and traditional Swiss villages. Bürgenstock combines the privacy of a mountain retreat with the grandeur of Switzerland's alpine scenery.

Can the infinity pool be reserved for a ceremony?
The pool area can be reserved for an exclusive ceremony window through the events team, closed to other guests during that period. Booking is needed well in advance, since peak summer slots are among the most requested.
How do guests who are not staying at the resort attend?
Non-resident guests arrive by the scheduled SGV steamer, the hotel funicular from Kehrsiten or a private launch arranged by the resort. Checks take place at the landing stage and the funicular base.
Can the resort host a very large wedding?
An outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor ballroom reception is the standard format. The four hotels can house the party on site without overflow.
Can guests with limited mobility manage the resort?
Accessibility was a priority in the 2017 rebuild, with lifts, accessible pathways and level access throughout. The Cliff Walk has uneven and exposed sections, so guests with significant limitations should be briefed.
