Villa Sofia stands in Sirtori, in the province of Lecco in Lombardy, in the hills of Brianza within Parco del Curone. The house is surrounded by a private park of ancient trees, wisteria-draped pergolas and rose gardens, with jasmine and cypress in the gardens. Inside, the villa has frescoed ceilings, marble floors and antique furnishings, and the rooms balance grandeur with intimacy. The owner hosts and plans weddings personally, and the villa is built around the art of slow living. The estate is reserved for one wedding at a time. Every feature of the estate is designed to bring harmony and sophistication, blending history with understated elegance.

Most couples turn the wedding into a weekend at the villa. The first evening often begins with a welcome dinner beneath the trees, followed by a day of celebration that moves from the gardens into the villa's interiors. Vows beneath the wisteria

Vows can be exchanged beneath a canopy of wisteria, in the gardens or on the terrace, with the Italian countryside around the guests. Jasmine, roses and cypress trees frame the gardens and the golden sunsets, and make a natural setting for vows and photography. Indoors, the panoramic glass veranda overlooks the gardens and gives the ceremony a setting under cover that is still connected to the landscape. After the ceremony, the terrace and pergola areas are used for toasts.

Terraces, salons and long tables

Cocktail hours begin on the terrace and in the pergola areas. The ceremony and champagne reception are organised by the villa team, and a plan B is worked out when the weather turns. The villa seats up to 70 guests for receptions and ceremonies. Dinner can be a formal seated meal beneath chandeliers or an outdoor feast under strings of light in the gardens. The garden terraces and inner salons can be styled for al fresco dining and for candlelit dinners beneath the vaulted interiors.

The main villa has suites and guest rooms for the couple and close family, with nearby villas and boutique accommodation for additional guests. The rooms are individually designed, blending antique charm with modern comfort, with high ceilings, frescoed walls, soft fabrics and hand-carved furnishings. Views sweep across the countryside, and the morning espresso is served in the garden.

Menus celebrate Italian cuisine, using seasonal ingredients from local farms and markets. The villa has professional-grade kitchens for private chefs, and all wedding dining is handled by the in-house culinary team. Formats range from a rustic Tuscan banquet to a refined multi-course tasting menu, with a relaxed brunch the morning after. Long tables are dressed with fresh flowers, fine linens and candles.

It was the best decision to get married.

My husband and I decided to get married in the villa a year ago. We arrived with the whole family this week and spent three days in Villa Sofia. The planning throughout the year went wonderfully with Natalia and Ricardo. We were able to express all our wishes and everything was implemented exactly as we wanted. Natalia was available to answer any questions and took care of all the decorations and food planning (with the fantastic catering team). Everyone felt more than comfortable, and we, as the bride and groom, felt at home. It was the best decision to get married there. Despite the rain, we were able to find a plan B, and nothing was too much effort for the team. It was wonderful. We would recommend it to anyone without reservation and will definitely come back for a holiday. Natalia and Ricardo are a dream team! Thank you for everything!
