1. Who we are

5starweddingdirectory.com (the “Site”) is published by 5 Star Weddings Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 11600740, registered office Dragon House, Princes Way, Bridgend CF31 3AQ (“5 Star”, “we”, “us”). The Site is also known as 5 Star Wedding Directory. Please read these terms carefully before using it. By using, accessing or downloading material from the Site you agree to them, now and on every future visit. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. What the Site is

A directory and editorial publication about wedding venues and wedding creatives. We introduce you to them; we are not a party to any agreement between you and a venue, creative, hotel or other supplier. Any contract is made directly with them, and we are not responsible for what they do or fail to do.

3. Using the Site

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • You may view, download and copy information and material on the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use only, without modifying it and keeping every copyright and other proprietary notice. No other use is authorised, and a breach may lead to civil or criminal liability.
  • You must not scrape, harvest or republish our listings, text, images or data, use the Site to send unsolicited messages, or try to interfere with its security or operation.

4. Accuracy and disclaimer

We work to keep information useful, accurate and current but do not guarantee it, and we may change the content of the Site at any time without notice. Prices, capacities, availability and facilities come from venues and creatives and change; please confirm anything that matters with them before you commit. Inclusion in the Site is not an endorsement, and opinions expressed in reviews or by other contributors are not necessarily ours. The Site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.

5. Aura, live chat and other AI features

Aura, our AI assistant, and any AI-written suggestions are for information only. They can be wrong. Aura cannot book, take payment, confirm availability or give legal or financial advice, and you should verify important details with the venue or creative. Visitors may send a small number of free messages to Aura; to carry on, you create a free profile and confirm your email address, and a daily allowance may apply. We may change or withdraw these limits. Please do not put sensitive personal information in the chat. Our live chat, “Chat with our team”, puts you in touch with our staff through a third-party chat service. How chats are stored and deleted is explained in our Privacy notice.

6. Your profile

If you create a profile you must give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You can change or delete your profile at any time, which also deletes your Aura conversations. We may suspend or close a profile that is misused or breaches these terms.

7. Enquiries

When you send an enquiry through the Site, it comes to us and our team passes it to the venue or business you chose; we do not send enquiries to venues automatically. We cannot promise that a venue or business will reply, that a date or price is available, or that any arrangement will result. Anything you agree, you agree directly with them.

8. Reviews and what you submit

Reviews must be honest, about your own experience, and must not be defamatory or unlawful; we may check, edit or remove them. All comments, feedback and other material you send us through the Site are treated as non-confidential. When you submit a review, photograph or other content you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, copy, modify, display, distribute and promote it on the Site and our related channels.

9. Listings and memberships (businesses)

An application does not guarantee inclusion; we may accept, refuse, suspend or remove a listing at our discretion. Fees, renewals and cancellation follow the order form agreed at purchase. Editorial decisions remain ours, and a paid listing does not buy an editorial verdict.

Non-refund policy. We value your business partnership. Because our services are specialised and tailored to each business, all transactions are final once an order or agreement is executed and we cannot offer refunds or exchanges after that point. Please review every agreement carefully; we are glad to clarify anything before you confirm an order. This does not affect any right you have by law.

As a convenience, the Site links to third-party sites that we do not own or control. We do not endorse them, are not affiliated with them and are not responsible for their availability or content.

5 Star Weddings Ltd may receive compensation for reviews, recommendations, affiliate links or sponsored content. Where a link earns us a commission, we may earn from qualifying purchases, and we mark sponsored content as such. Some items we review may have been gifted to us; our reviews are our honest opinion. We aim to credit the correct original source of every image we use. If a credit is wrong or missing, please contact us.

12. Intellectual property and trademarks

The Site’s text, design, images (other than those supplied by listed businesses), software, data and brands belong to 5 Star Weddings Ltd or its licensors. Our trademarks and brand names may be used only with our written permission. All other trademarks, brands and names belong to their owners. Business-supplied images remain theirs. Nothing on the Site grants you any licence or right under any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right except as expressly stated.

13. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any linked site, and for business customers our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the previous twelve months.

14. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages, cyber attack, supplier failure or force majeure.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Site, including any profile, for any reason, including breach of these terms. Terms that by their nature should continue, including those on ownership of material, disclaimers and limits of liability, survive any termination.

16. Changes

We may change the Site and these terms; the date above will change when we do. Please review this page from time to time, as the current terms bind you. Continued use means you accept them. Notices on particular pages may add to or replace these terms for that page.

17. Law and general provisions

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part is unenforceable the rest stands; our not enforcing a right is not a waiver; these terms are the whole agreement about your use of the Site and may be changed only as set out above or in writing signed by both parties.
