About
Lupus Mare
Lupus Mare is a 43 m steel motor yacht, built in 2011 by the Brodosplit shipyard and bought by the Split-based charter and shipbuilding company A-yachts in 2018. She has been refitted several times since, most recently in 2023, when a jacuzzi on the sundeck, a Finnish sauna, a gym and a cinema room were added. She is 9 m in beam, 499 gross tonnes and cruises at around 9 knots.
She is chartered as a whole yacht, with a crew of 10: a captain, three deckhands, a chef and a sous chef, and four stewardesses. The crew are local to the coast, and the captain chooses the swimming stops. The chef cooks Mediterranean food from fresh local ingredients and adapts the menu to guests' wishes.
Guests sleep in 15 air-conditioned en-suite cabins: eight doubles, three twins and four triples. The saloon has a dining area and a bar, with further lounges at the stern and in front of the wheelhouse, and a sundeck with a shaded area and jacuzzi. Water toys include a 6 m waterslide, a jet ski, a Seabob, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, snorkelling gear and a 5.20 m tender.
The yacht cruises the Croatian Adriatic, with example routes from Split to Split and from Split to Dubrovnik taking in islands such as Hvar, Korčula, Vis and Mljet. A charter manager who booked the yacht for clients reports that the crew arranged a different band for each evening on board and a personal guide on each island visited.
