Reethi Beach Maldives
Private island resort in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Maldives
A private-island resort in Baa Atoll with beach settings for sunset ceremonies, 105 villas and eight places to eat and drink.
Reethi Beach sits on its own island in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. The resort has been rebranded as NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort. It is surrounded by a reef, marine life and tropical planting, and has 105 villas, among them overwater villas at the northern tip of the island and villas with private pools. Dining is spread across eight restaurants and bars, with an open-fire grill, an overwater restaurant, a buffet restaurant and butler-served dining on the beach.
Weddings take place on two beaches. Sunset Beach, on the west of the island, is a flat, open stretch that can host up to 200 guests and faces the ocean at sunset. Riya Beach, on the east, is smaller and sheltered, catches the morning light and is used for vow rehearsals and exclusive gatherings. Three celebration packages are offered, all symbolic rather than legal, with Boduberu drummers, a tree-planting ceremony, flower decorations and a beach dinner. Guests can also use the PADI dive centre, snorkel the house reef, take out kayaks and catamarans, play tennis or visit the spa. The island is reached by seaplane from Velana International Airport.
