Originally built in 1907 as private residence for Viscount Hambledon, son of the business baron W H Smith, the castle combines the vibrant atmosphere of a country home from the last century with the modern luxury of an international resort.

Bovey Castle has a range of luxurious ceremony, dining and entertaining options that will guarantee a wedding day with a difference. Choose from four unique rooms within the hotel for your wedding venue, from an outdoor civil ceremony and celebratory drinks at our Summer House to the regal setting of the beautiful Cathedral Room.

Our executive chef and his team will create sumptuous menu and table settings you and your guests will remember forever, with food and wines tailored to your precise tastes. We cover every detail, including the opportunity to create your own wedding cocktail with our resident mixologist.

Swimming Pool The swimming pool is open from 7.00am until 8.30pm for adults and 9.00am until 5.30pm for children (accompanied by an adult).
