Runway to ballroom

Aliana Events is a luxury event production and design firm in Los Angeles, founded in 2013 by Aliana Rubins. Aliana began her career as a makeup artist in the fashion and beauty industry in the United States, where she helped launch Giorgio Armani Beauty, and spent ten years in beauty before starting the company. The work is inspired by runway shows, fashion and glamour.

Design with a point of view

Aliana leads the firm as CEO and Creative Director. It describes its approach as haute-couture inspired, with close attention to detail and a design point of view that runs through every table, flower installation and ceremony set-up. Its wedding galleries range from garden ceremonies and Tuscan-inspired celebrations to a pastel Sikh ceremony and black and white ballroom receptions.

Beyond weddings

Weddings are one part of a wider portfolio. The firm also produces brand launches, birthdays, baby showers, bar mitzvahs, brises and editorial shoots, including beach and desert concepts. Aliana works with a small team that includes Art Osa as Production Manager and Mimi Richardson as Event Coordinator.

How it runs

Couples get in touch through the contact form and meet the team, which presents a design direction, often as a vision board. The production manager and coordinator turn the design into a plan, the team plans for the weather and other changes, and Aliana and the team are on site to run the day. Weddings and events are priced after an enquiry.
