Elisa Prati Wedding Italy

Elisa Prati founded her planning and design studio in 2014 and has designed and directed more than 80 weddings in Italy and the south of France. She is based between Milan and Lake Como, and she leads every wedding herself, working with a small team of collaborators and taking only a limited number of events each year.

She came to weddings from events for the fashion and design industries, and she names fashion and design as the foundation of her taste. Each wedding starts with a concept written from scratch for the couple. She does not work from templates or follow trends, and the design is shaped by the venue, the season and the region rather than carried from one wedding to the next.

Her published destinations run the length of the country: Lake Como, Venice and Portofino in the north, Tuscany, Florence and Rome in the centre, and the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Puglia and Sicily in the south. Her client letters also record weddings in the Dolomites, on Lake Iseo, in Franciacorta and at the Cinque Terre. The couples on her published reviews page come mostly from the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Canada.

She describes her approach as multisensory, planning scent, touch, sight, sound and taste together: florals and herb-filled settings, linens and handmade table pieces, lighting, live music matched to the location, and menus with local wines and olive oil tastings. Couples are supported for ten to twelve months, with telephone help on working days.

She plans weddings of every faith and culture, and same-sex and unconventional weddings, and says so prominently on her own site. Her fees are published in full, as fixed fees for design, planning and coordination, with suppliers quoted separately. Her weddings have been featured in Vogue France, Carats and Cake, Wedding Sparrow, The Wed and Wed Vibes.
