Yvonne Beck is a bilingual wedding celebrant who delivers ceremonies in English, in German, or in a mixture of both. She is based in Germany and London and travels to couples across the UK and Europe, with a particular focus on Germany and the Bavarian Alps, Switzerland, and Austria, South Tyrol and the Dolomites.
She trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and began her career as a Family and Marriage Celebrant in 2011, after a long career in public service. Since moving to Germany in 2017 she has offered destination English and bilingual weddings, elopements and vow renewals. She has led more than 600 ceremonies.
“I believe a wedding ceremony should feel joyful and deeply meaningful for you and your guests as well as filled with your personality and reflect your signature.”
Yvonne Beck
Every ceremony is written from scratch, with no templates. Yvonne works from a questionnaire and a series of conversations to weave a couple's love story, values and beliefs into a script in their own voice, with as much or as little formality as they wish. Rituals such as handfasting, a unity candle, wine or beer blending and ring warming can be included, and she specialises in creating new rituals for each couple.
Couples can choose a ceremony Yvonne leads in person, or a self-led ceremony companion for elopements and private vows, written for the couple to read with coaching on pacing and delivery. She works with one couple per day and protects the days either side of each ceremony, so travel and rehearsal are never rushed.
Recent work includes weddings at Villa Honegg above Lake Lucerne, Chateau Gutsch in Lucerne, Schloss Lieser on the Moselle, Berlepsch Castle in Hesse, and elopements at Lake Eibsee, Lake Riessersee and Oeschinensee. She was named in the Celebrant category of the Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards 2026 and won the Global Celebrant category at the International Wedding Awards in 2026.
