Tai Flora Luxe

Tai Flora Luxe began with flowers. Dr Paulette Hossmann was making arrangements for hotel lobbies in Montego Bay when she was asked to make a last-minute bridal bouquet, and weddings grew from there. The business now has more than 20 years behind it and a team of over 200 people, including florists, carpenters and planners.

Floral design remains the centre of the work. The company is Jamaica's largest importer of flowers, which lets it build large scale pieces such as ceremony arches, flower walls, aisle borders and long table garlands, as well as bouquets and centrepieces. Palettes range from all-white hydrangea and rose schemes to bright tropical colour with monstera leaves and orchids.

Around the flowers the team provides the rest of the room. It holds Jamaica's largest decor inventory, covering furniture, lighting, draping, linens and tenting, and it designs invitations, menus and printed material to match. Many weddings are on the lawns, cliff tops and beaches of Jamaican hotels, including Half Moon, The Cliff Hotel and a Hilton resort.

Couples can use Tai Flora Luxe for flowers and styling alone or for full planning, from concept and supplier selection to day-of coordination. The company also works with independent planners, and designs South Asian inspired weddings with colourful linens, florals and mandap-style canopies. The business has offices in Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios and Kingston, and was named Caribbean Wedding Industry Event Planner and Floral Designer in 2018.
