Amie Bone

Amie Bone began her career in 2005, when she and her husband Jason swapped a market stall for a garden centre in Hertfordshire. A modest flower counter inside it became a floral design and event studio in Watford, which now takes on weddings, private parties and brand installations in the UK and around the world.

The studio's strength is scale. It builds suspended wisteria and rose canopies that fill a marquee ceiling, cascading runners down the full length of the wedding breakfast, and ceremony arches shaped to frame the couple. A props workshop within the studio produces sculptural set pieces to order.

“The moment a couple first see our finished work on their wedding day, that big reveal, remains the single most moving part of this job for me.”

Amie Bone, Founder and Visionary Floral Artist

Amie describes herself as a visionary rather than a florist, and designs across a wide range, from a classical English garden palette to abundant colour and jewel tones. She still designs each commission herself, with her team building and installing on the day.

Her work has been seen at Cowdray House, Cliveden and Aynhoe Park, at destination weddings in France and Hungary, and in London hotels including Claridge's, The Savoy, Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park and Rosewood London. Public projects include a floral Corgi for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee and a King Kong climbing a floral Big Ben for Chelsea in Bloom.

Flowers come where possible through the MPS-certified wholesaler Van der Plas. The studio keeps foam to a minimum, passes surplus blooms to the charity Floral Angels and composts event waste through Com:post.

Questions couples ask

Before you write to them

What is Amie Bone's design style?

The style is theatrical and built for scale, though it ranges from a classical English garden look to full colour. The studio is best placed to deliver large installations rather than one fixed signature.

What can the studio create for a wedding?

Work runs from bridal bouquets to the transformation of an entire venue: suspended installations, ceremony arches, table runners, centrepieces and sculptural pieces made in the studio's own workshop.

How large a wedding can the studio handle?

Weddings of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to receptions of five hundred guests and more. Large installations and full venue transformation are a particular strength.

Where is the studio based and where does it work?

The studio is in Watford, Hertfordshire, and works across the UK and worldwide, including destination weddings in France and Hungary.

Is there a minimum spend?

No minimum is set. The enquiry form asks for a flower budget and the design is built around each couple's figure.

Are the flowers sustainably sourced?

Where possible, flowers come from the MPS-certified wholesaler Van der Plas. The studio reduces foam, donates surplus blooms through Floral Angels and composts event waste with Com:post.

How does the design process work?

It starts with a consultation, followed by drawings, mood boards and swatches. The team builds and installs everything on the wedding day.

Has the studio had public recognition?

Amie Bone has exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Chelsea in Bloom, and her work has appeared in Vogue, Tatler, Brides and Harper's Bazaar.
