Charlotte Tilbury was born in London and grew up in Ibiza, in a household shaped by the arts. Her father is a painter and her mother a luxury production manager, so a creative career felt natural from an early age.
Her interest in make-up began at thirteen, when she first tried mascara and saw what a small change could do. After meeting the make-up artist Mary Greenwell, she trained at the Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in London and set out to work as a professional artist.
