Algarve Wedding Planners was founded by Paula Grade and Karina Sousa, both managing partners, and describes itself as a pioneer of professional wedding planning in the Algarve. The company has since grown its team with international specialists, and it is part of White Impact Group.
Their approach is tailor-made. They present a shortlist of venues to suit the couple, arrange the visits and leave the final decision with the couple. They work with a chosen network of suppliers across the region, covering catering, cake design, decoration and flowers, photography and film, hair and make-up, music, and bridal and guest transport.

They plan civil, Catholic and same-sex ceremonies, vow renewals and blessings, and have a network of priests from several countries that allows bilingual ceremonies. They have organised Celtic, Arabic, Russian and Indian celebrations, and they handle the paperwork and legal side of marrying in Portugal.
Beyond the day itself, a concierge and reservations team arranges accommodation, transfers, car hire and activities such as golf for the couple and their guests, plus honeymoons in Portugal or elsewhere, at no extra cost to the couple. Pre- and post-wedding events, children's entertainment, stationery, favours and spa and wellbeing days can also be arranged.
On the wedding day the planners are present throughout, coordinating suppliers, overseeing the set-up and keeping the timings. The photographs on this page show ceremonies on clifftop lawns, garden receptions and coastal portraits from weddings they have planned, including at Monte do Serrinho.
