Gardens older than the hotel

La Mamounia stands against the ramparts of the old city of Marrakech, on grounds that began in the 18th century as an estate of thirteen hectares known for open-air receptions. The hotel opened there in 1923. The gardens hold olive trees, roses, tennis courts and a boules pitch, behind 12th-century ramparts.

Where weddings are held

Weddings and receptions use Le Grand Salon, which measures 450 square metres, is decorated in deep red and divides into three areas of 150 square metres, as well as the gardens, the restaurant terraces, the Moroccan tent and the Lanternes beside the pool. Le Menzeh, a pavilion in the heart of the gardens, can host a civil ceremony. The Grand Salon holds up to 300 guests, with 250 standing or 200 seated.
