Cortes House is a Regency house of 1810 in five acres of private grounds in Aberdeenshire, rented as a whole for weddings, with 12 bedrooms sleeping up to 30 and a glass-topped atrium.
Cortes House is a Regency house built in 1810 and set in five acres of private grounds in north-east Aberdeenshire, near Lonmay and Fraserburgh. A glass-topped atrium lights the heart of the house, above a staircase that climbs through the three upper floors. The reception rooms have high ceilings, old fireplaces, delicate cornicing and open fires. The house is rented to one party at a time, so for the length of a wedding stay the rooms, the grounds and all 12 bedrooms are reserved for the couple and their guests.
Ceremonies can be held in the reception rooms, beneath the atrium or in the garden. Up to 50 guests can sit down in a single reception room and up to 75 across two interconnecting rooms, while a marquee on the lawn takes up to 120. The bedrooms sleep up to 30, including a bridal suite, and a family kitchen and a bar are on site. Catering can be arranged by the house or brought in by the couple. Aberdeen and its airport are about 45 minutes away by road.

Cortes House was built in 1810 and keeps the character of its period, with high ceilings, old fireplaces, delicate cornicing and open fires in the reception rooms. It stands in five acres of private grounds in quiet countryside near Fraserburgh.

At the heart of the house a glass-topped atrium lights the landing and the staircase that winds up through the upper floors. It makes a bright setting for vows, drinks and photographs.

When the house is rented for a wedding, the couple and their guests have it entirely to themselves. Twelve bedrooms sleep up to 30, a family kitchen serves the quieter hours, and everyone wakes the next morning under one roof.
