Tissington Hall is a Jacobean house built in 1609 in the village of Tissington, in the Peak District of Derbyshire. The FitzHerbert family has held it for more than 400 years, and the hall is hired exclusively for weddings, so a couple has the house, the gardens and the estate to themselves. Ashbourne is about 15 minutes away, and Derby and the M1 are about 45 minutes away.
Ceremonies are held in the stone-flagged Great Hall, which takes up to 80, or on the licensed Terrace Arcade, which takes up to 100. The draped Arboretum Pavilion seats 150 for the wedding breakfast and holds 200 in the evening, and the Carriage House barn offers a smaller alternative. More than five acres of gardens include a rose garden and a parterre. In-house caterers cook modern British menus with Derbyshire produce, the Bridal Suite is on site, and cottages in the village sleep up to 17 guests.

The FitzHerbert family has lived at Tissington Hall for more than 400 years, since the house was built in 1609. A wedding here therefore takes place in a working family home rather than a hired hall, set in a honey-coloured village in the Peak District.

The stone-flagged Great Hall has a carved Jacobean fireplace and tall mullioned windows, and holds up to 80 for a ceremony. Outdoors, the licensed Terrace Arcade runs along the house and takes up to 100, with the gardens beyond.

The draped Arboretum Pavilion seats 150 for the wedding breakfast and holds 200 in the evening, and the renovated Carriage House barn offers a smaller timber-framed alternative. Over five acres of gardens, with a rose garden and a parterre, give room for drinks and photographs.

The Bridal Suite in the hall, with a chaise and a roll-top bath, is for the couple, and cottages in the village sleep up to 17 guests. The party can stay together through the weekend.
