About Kempinski Palace Engelberg

Kempinski Palace Engelberg is a five-star Belle Époque hotel in the Swiss Alps village of Engelberg, with a historic ballroom, a rooftop spa and its own wedding packages.

Kempinski Palace Engelberg stands in the centre of Engelberg, in the Canton of Obwalden at 1,015 metres, at the foot of Mount Titlis. A Belle Époque grand hotel with contemporary interiors, it has 129 rooms and suites with mountain views, a rooftop infinity pool and the 880 sq m Kempinski The Spa. The railway station is 100 metres away and a heliport 300 metres, and Lucerne is 36 km from the door.

Wedding receptions are held in the historic Kursaal, a ballroom dating from 1902 with a high ceiling that holds 160 guests for a banquet, or in The Hall, a pillarless modern room for 120 at table. The aperitif is served in the hotel park when the weather allows, and smaller dinners can be held in the hotel's other rooms. Two packages, Fairytale and Dream, set out the aperitif, a four-course dinner, cake, dance floor and table flowers, and each gives the couple a rehearsal dinner for two and a suite overnight. Cattani Restaurant serves Alpine Mediterranean cooking, and partial or full hotel buyouts are available for a multi-day celebration. Zurich Airport is 101 km away, and the Zentralbahn train from Zurich takes about 1 hour 40 minutes.

Fantastic view.

The most luxurious stay in Switzerland for us. We enjoyed every bit of it as a family. The staff goes out of their way to make it a luxury stay. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. The room is equipped with everything you need with a touch of finesse. The food is fantastic. The location couldn’t be better. There’s a kids' playground right behind the hotel, seemingly their backyard, and an even better kids' club with loving staff. The pool is unbeatable with a fantastic view. You could visit Brunni/Titlis/Trubsee for activities year-round.
