Bürgenstock Resort sits on the Bürgenberg in Obbürgen, 500 metres above Lake Lucerne. The estate groups two hotels, a spa, a golf course, a cinema and several restaurants around a mountain ridge. The Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa has 211 rooms across two buildings: The Heritage, with Belle Époque interiors, and The Contemporary, a glass building with double-sided fireplaces in its rooms and suites. The Waldhotel by Bürgenstock adds 137 rooms and suites with balconies or terraces facing the Alps.
Wedding celebrations can be held in the Lakeview Ballroom, which has floor-to-ceiling windows over the lake, or in the Salle Palace, a Belle Époque room in the Palace Hotel. The Private Dining Lago and the timber-built Spycher chalet suit smaller dinners, and the seasonal Event Domes are open from April to October. The resort's wedding specialists coordinate each day from the first plans, including entertainment, flowers and tailored menus, with a pastry chef making the cake.
Guests can arrive by catamaran from Lucerne and ride the vintage funicular up the mountainside, or come by car, Postbus or helicopter. Between events the estate offers the Alpine Spa, five pools, golf from April to October, tennis in the Diamond Domes and the Hammetschwand Lift.
