Rocky's Boutique Resort stands on the southeast coast of Koh Samui, about 1.5 km from Lamai Beach, in a secluded cove with no resorts on either side. Large granite outcrops enclose the beaches, and the sea is clear enough for snorkelling over coral. The resort has 70 rooms and villas, two pools, a spa and a gym, and a restaurant set on a granite rock above the water, where long-tailed fishing boats can be seen coming and going each day.
Weddings are held on a private beach under a bamboo canopy dressed with seasonal flowers, in a Thai Buddhist or a Western style, with a wedding planner working with the couple before and after arrival. Parties of up to 60 guests can be hosted, and the day can continue with a barbecue or set dinner on the beach, in the restaurant, or in an air-conditioned banquet room. Cakes, photography, make-up, fireworks, live musicians and spa treatments can be added, and the resort is happy to adapt either package to the couple's wishes.

Coves between granite rocks
Rocky's sits on the southeast coast of Koh Samui, about 1.5 km from Lamai Beach, in a secluded cove with no resorts on either side. Secluded beaches are enclosed by large outcrops of granite, forming sheltered coves where the sea is clear enough for snorkelling over coral. Long-tailed fishing boats pass daily, and two pools, one on the beachfront and one in the upper garden, sit among the white pavilion roofs.
Two ways to marry on the beach
Ceremonies take place on a private beach under a bamboo canopy dressed with seasonal flowers. The Buddhist Blessing Package brings three monks, a water blessing and an alms offering, while the Western Wedding Package is led by an English-speaking non-religious celebrant. Christian and non-religious ceremonies can also be arranged, and a wedding planner works with the couple before and after arrival.
From canapes to a banquet
After the ceremony, sparkling wine and canapes are served, and the evening can follow in The Dining Room, as a private barbecue on the beach, or in the air-conditioned banquet room hung with fairy lights. Extras include cakes, photography, make-up, fireworks, Thai or Western musicians and spa treatments for the couple.
