Meet the wedding dresses
Beatrice Espinosa Bridal
Beatrice Espinosa Bridal was founded in 2015 by Beatrice Espinosa, who designs and makes every dress herself. She studied theatre design at Wimbledon College of Arts, took a short pattern cutting course at London College of Fashion, and spent ten years working freelance in professional theatre on set and costume before opening her own business.
Her studio is in Bentley, Hampshire, on the Surrey and Hampshire border, a short drive from Farnham and Alton. It is a working studio reached by a staircase, with free parking, and all appointments and fittings take place there. Clients also come from Guildford, Winchester, Southampton and London.
“Every client that walks into my studio is valued and special and is guaranteed the level of service that only a small Atelier can give”
Beatrice Espinosa, designer and founder
Clients work directly with Beatrice rather than with a design team. A bespoke dress is drawn, toiled in calico, made from scratch in the fabrics the client chooses and finished with traditional couture sewing, hand beading and embroidery. Beatrice also offers a small silk collection that can be tried on and ordered in the client's size.
The work favours natural silks, laces and deadstock fabric from established UK suppliers, with each design made to order rather than mass produced. Beatrice also makes bespoke veils, detachable sleeves, capes and jackets, bridesmaids' dresses and occasionwear, and alters wedding dresses in house, so a full bridal look can be completed in one studio.
